Today we woke up at 6 in our pods. We had biscuits and gravy, cereal, and yogurt for breakfast. We loaded the bus to go to our worksite. Well, today we woke up at 7:30 instead of 6:30. We got our assignements and hopped in the bus. Some of us went to paint a church's porch while others went to build stairs for a family. DCPC took 28 youth and adults to the Massanetta Middle School Conference in Harrisonburg, Virginia, on June 17-20. During the week we explored Romans and the theme "180 degrees," talking about ways God might be turning us and the world in a new direction. Tuesday morning we headed to a coffee plantation about a little ways from Sigona. As always, we were joined by a few of the Sigona church members; they make any trip more fun! Before we left the Massanetta Middle School Conference, we gathered together in Hudson Auditorium for worship. We heard the story of the healing of the paralytic one more time (complete with a skit), shared in communion with one another, sang our theme song ("Leaps and Bounds, Leaps and Bounds. The Davidson Presbyterian Churches (Davidson and Davidson College Presbyterian Churchs) attended the 2007 Montreat Youth Conference, during week 6, July 29-August 4. We lived together in the Elizabeth Lord Huske House, cooked tasty meals (including a taco party with Cook's Memorial Presbyterian Church and a luau).
